Knitting Necklace
2 days ago, I have been deep in thought while making a pattern, the latest time all looming and so much to do before the year’s end. I have thought to divide a perfect minor technique with you. Something last minute that you can make for either for yourself or a gift! It’s been fantastic, so having that small bit of precious cashmere caressing your neck certainly felt comfy.
So here is what you would need for knitting necklace:
15-20 grams of Fingering or Sport weight yarn.
Time: 1.5-2hr (excluding drying time).
Make sure to choose something pleasant, merino, royal alpaca, tiny bit of cashmere or qiviut. Try the yarn on your neckline area first to detect the itchiness level as it is extremely precision area. So you don’t end up terrific necklace off after 10 minutes of wearing this knitting necklace. Braided / Finished necklace measures approximately 22″.
Gauge: 6 sts and 7-8 rows in 1″ over Stockinette stitch swatch
Cabled Braids are made up by knitting 2 strips.
Needle: US 4 (3.5 mm)
Crochet hook D or C.
There are a lot of ways of wearing this little accessory. 22″ length was perfect to wear around the head as a headband. Nearly makes me think of those very 50ies Prada cabled hair ornaments, but I don’t have hair long enough to show it.
You can gift this knitting necklace for your family or friends.
I hope you all like it!
Happy Crafting!
