Materials
– Crochet hooks: 3.50mm (E), 3.75mm (F) hook and
4.50mm hook
– Yarn needle
– 8ply/ light worsted/ DK weight yarn or yarn to fit gauge
Special Instructions
Moving join: The first stitch of each round should be made into the
first st which does not have the slst from the previous round.
Where the first stitch should me made is indicated by the yellow
arrow in the picture to the right.
The red arrow indicates where the last stitch of each round should
be made. This will create a join which goes diagonally to the left.
This is how it is meant to look and the pattern won’t work without it.
Left and right: Pattern is the same for both the left and right shoe
so make two shoes. To distinguish left and right shoes sew the toe
décor to one side of one shoe and the other side to the next.
Ch1: The first chain of each round does not count as a stitch.

Decorations
Leaf- Using a 4.50mm hook
Ch 5, sc in 2nd chain from hook, hdc, dc, work 8 dc in last chain. Working
down other side of chain, dc, hdc, sc. Slst to first skipped ch to create point
(where you are working slst into is indicated by the yellow arrow in the photo
to the right). Finish and leave a long tail for sewing.
Circle flower- Using a 3.50mm (E) hook
Ch3, work 8hdc in 3rd chain from hook. Slst to first st. Finish and leave a long
tail for sewing. For the centre of the flower I tie a knot in another piece of yarn
and sew it through the centre of circle. You could alternatively sew a bead on
for this embellishment.
Construction
Using the left over tail, sew the leaf to the shoe with the point
down the side of the shoe and the opposite end on the toe. Sew
the circular flower on top of the leaf. Finish and weave ends.

Hi! Thank you for the pattern for the basic baby booties. Just made them for a shower that I’m attending. They were easy and quick to make.
