Baby Food Guideline
A fast and simple guide to feeding a baby for the entire first year. When your baby is 4+ months old you can prepare for your baby these meals: rice cereal, muesli, porridge. You can prepare with a little breast milk, formula or cooled boiled water. Serve with mashed fruit, such as banana or stewed apple.
When your baby is 4-8+ months old you can prepare some vegies. For example: Carrot, sweet potato, pumpkin, zucchini and potato. When your baby is 4-8+ months you can prepare like this: Steam, roast or boil, then puree with little water to make a smooth consistency.
When your baby is 6-12+ months you can prepare like this: Boil, steam or roast, then mash into a smooth consistency (once baby has teeth the mixture can be lumpier.) When your baby is 12+ months you can prepare like this: Roast in small chunks and serve as a finger food (suitable once your baby has teeth.)
When your baby is 6+ months old you can prepare for your baby avocado and eggs-yolk only. You can prepare avocado like this: once mashed, ıt can be added to another vegetable/fruit or spread onto toast or cracker. You can prepare eggs like this: Egg white is highly allergenic and should be avoided until 12 months of age.
When your baby is 8+ months old you can prepare toast. You can prepare baby’s toast like this: Butter and cut into soldiers for baby to suck on. Avoid spreads until baby is 12 months or older.
